To (have) Bang or not
This post requires lots of comments and input, por favor!
So, in desperation of creating a new and interesting blog…since I have not done anything interesting in like a week and I have no new pictures, sorry…I decided to start an opinion feed thing. As most of you know, I have recently, okay 4 months recently, gotten me some dramatic looking bangs. Adam likes to call them “third grader bangs”, but they are full on (literally full) and all over my forehead. Okay, so mostly across the front, but with my big hair comes big bangs! Or maybe the word is not big, but fat. I think big hair is intentional and fat hair you are just cursed with. So, anyways, I am SICK of them! Not really sure if it has anything to do with 100 degree southern GA weather and humidity, sweat and heat or just the look altogether is all and done with. Lately they have been pinned to the side of my head, pinned in the middle (girly fauxhawk thing?), and headbanded. Since I had them cut I have gotten mixed compliments and comments amongst those who care for me and my look. Which is one of the reasons I am reaching out to you! Anyways, I guess what I am asking for is maybe a poll of votes that are for the bangs and against the bangs. Basically vote yes or no. And if yes, should I continue the “Leslie Feist-third grader look” or maybe go back to the usual “Janie-look” of the so called “sexy bangs” and sweep them to the side. I have provided you with before, after and in between pictures to help supplement your opinions and ideas. The more the comments the better and winner takes all. Well, maybe there is no winner, but it will help me to decide whether I should just let them grow out. Sorry to those of you who thought this was going to be a deep and meaningful post, instead it’s light and flaky! THANKS!
Pre-bangs Full-on

I think this post was very deep. :) I vote longer bangs. what, what!
I am typically not a fan of bangs (perhaps it stems from the suppressed memories of my own freakish bangs), but I think the bangs have looked very good on you. That being said, if you’re sick of them, I say let them go! You can always grow them out and then cut them back in again if you are missing them.
Well, I personally like the bangs, and I wouldn’t call them third-grader bangs, but I think they look very cute on you. That being said, they would drive me crazy I am sure, and I always like you hair with the side-swept bang, so I would go back to that. Good luck growing them out! And sorry I haven’t called. I will!
I love the bangs! It’s a great look for you.
Well…of course I like both ways because you are very pretty girl, but for the bangs defense I like them because they are something new and they are coming back in style (I even considered them for myself recently). So I’m sorry I’m just undecisive…either way looks good to me.
p.s. I definatley likes Stephanies hair shorter though, I forgot how long it was!
I’ve actually been jealous of your bangs because you can pull them off! I, however, am with you 110% on the getting rid of them simply because they’re frustrating. I dunno what the “side sweep” look is, but it sounds like it would look nice! :-) Hope you got your sister picked up OK & all that jazz….see you tomorrow!
I love you with bangs. But I think I remember telling you this like every time we talk. :-)
i think you look beautiful with sexy bangs and with “3rd grader bangs!”
I like da bangs….sexy side sweep is my vote!
I’m happy for you that this is the most pressing issue in your life currently :) I’m over bangs on pretty much anyone over the age of 10. Take that as you will. Tell Adams congrats on the coat!
First things first, Janie, you can pull of any style. I love the classic layered hair off the shoulder without the bangs, but everyone has this cut…you can’t go wrong. But, this hairstyle will be here forever, you can go back anytime. However, the bangs, not so. I love the bangs, edgy, different, fun…(but you cannot forget the dry shampoo to keep them fluffy.) My vote is something ultra different…keep the bangs and take of more length!!
PS: I was so happy to find your blog from Steph’s page. Yay!!
I think the bangs are cute! You look kind of “60s like, and they frame your face nicely. Of course, if you grow them out and don’t like it, you can always cut more bangs. Now to confuse things, Roge says no bangs – it must be a guy thing!
