charleston in july

many of you may know that every year for the past three years adam and i have spent our anniversary {dec 18} in charleston. it’s SO LOVELY during the holidays! but i had the pleasure of spending a bit during this july and finally seeing the beach. we stayed with some friends of steph’s and had a FABULOUS time. thanks to wendy and daniel, the MOST hospitable hosts ever. xox

{first things first, must visit walmart. in charleston they are quite nice, including store front windows!}

{then we must visit the market. steph bought a thai wooden frog for her class}

{after a visit down the fab king st, we had lunch at southend. so YUM!}

{after lunch we walked around town. i loved these dr.suess-looking trees}

{and it’s not a complete charleston trip unless you see (and smell) the carriages}

{later in the evening, steph and i took a stroll on the beach (my first @ isle of palms)}

{one of my favorites was the bright turquoise house with the homemade flip-flop wreath}

{the flip-flop look was carried out to the mailbox, too!}

{to top off the evening, we attended trivia night. it was very difficult, but fun. and we came in 4th!}

{thanks to kevin and daniel and their knowledge of all things science/math and random facts}

{the following day was spent at the beach…in the sun! perhaps steph will share her photos with you all}
